was pretty cool…
I ended up having to put out a fire that started in the garden… I noticed a lot of smoke and made a comment but everyone said it was just a smokey candle, so I went to check and low and behold there was a little fire traveling casually through the plants.
and the lights didn’t arrive for the dance floor (outdoor reception) so I ended up getting one of the younger guys to drive his mini cooper up onto the grass … didn’t realize that he was drunk until he proceeded to drive over the power box, cutting off power to all the music and fairy lights annnnd then drove into the garden… heh woops…but they did get the lighting they needed for their first dance :P
all in all a great day

It’s been 2 months since I foam rolled. Oh god. So sore. But it feels so good. I don’t plan to stop. I may do it tomorrow for an unknown amount of time.

Where do I get egg poachers from? haha… and chicken bacon is pretty wierd, i’m not a fan but it’s better for you than actual bacon :)

NZ doesn’t really do turkey products :( Our equivalent is chicken … chicken bacon, chicken sandwiches, chicken deli meat etc … I do miss turkey bacon from when I was living in the states!
The only positive that I can think of about being sick at the moment is that my lack of appetite MIGHT just mean my bridesmaids dress will be a little more roomy. It’s just a smidge too tight at the moment BUT hopefully not too much more roomy because it’s also strapless.

Lots of Vitamin C (oranges, strawberries), lots of fluids (tea- ginger honey if you can, otherwise avoid adding sweetener), and rest. Avoid dairy. Make sure you’re getting plenty of sleep!

… now I find myself contemplating deletion of my tumblr.
my throat hurts and i’ve been having panic attacks and i’m worried that my emotional health is messing with my physical health and my best friends wedding is this friday so i can’t be sick and i’m so tired and i just want to sleep all day every day but people keep waking me up and demanding my time. i don’t feel like doing this anymore i just want to run away.

I want buns, hams, and quads of steel.
My butt is probably my least loved part of my body…I still love it, but not as much as my abs or arms. I think I have the hardest time gaining mass in my booty. I’m making great progress in my quads and sort of my hamstrings, but I’ve been seeing the slowest progress in my butt.
Any tips?? You all know my legs days routines. Any other moves I should do? I’m going to start doing straight leg deadlifts next week. :)
A lot of the what you do to work on your hamstrings and quads should also be really good for your glutes. Are you super super aware of engaging your glute muscles as you do these exercises? If you do a small exercise to engage them before you start doing clean & press etc then they will respond more.
Get your swiss ball and a small hand weight.
With your upper back on the swiss ball
- your feet hip width apart on the floor
- - and your knees at a 90 degree angle
- - - engage your core to protect your lower back.
- - - - place the hand weight on your lower abs between your hips and gently hold it there so that it doesn’t roll off.
- - - - - Slowly lower your butt toward the ground making sure that you’re bending at the hips and engaging your glutes (it can be easy to use your back to bend.)
- - - - - - Lower as far as your comfortably can. Then slowly, using your glutes come back up and thrust your hips as high as you can while squeezing your glutes.
make sure that your knees stay straight and a hip width apart during the exercise to prevent injury. and KEEP YOUR ABS ENGAGED :)
Hopefully this makes sense! If it doesn’t let me know and I’ll make a quick video for you. But essentially once you’ve done this exercise your glutes are engaged to react in other exercises.
Always remain conscious of your butt and abs while working out. They are two muscle groups that should pretty much always be engaged.

This Saturday is my best friends hens night. I had it almost entirely organized and then showed it to her cause she’s super fussy. She held onto my planning notebook until this morning and has given it back to me and so now I have two days to plan this damn thing.
I need ideas for non lame activites/games/whatever to do.

They taste really nice. I think it’s very dependent on what kind of peanut butter you choose. I would try a different one next time. The recipe made 30 small cookies and they’re 135 cals each. Definitely a treat!
A lot of the people I follow post their daily intake… I’m going to try this for a little while to see if it helps curb my over eating… Please feel free to comment
Normally wouldn’t have a breakfast like this, however we didn’t have eggs or gluten free bread in the house. I could only find gluten free cereal that I didn’t like, thus the yoghurt and banana
This was actually the makings of a smoothie. I didn’t get around to thinking about lunch till 3pm so I didn’t bother with anything big as dinner wasn’t far away.
Chicken meat balls with rice spaghetti and pasta sauce. Seriously delicious. I’m certain I ate more than I should. I also just realized I forgot to include the side salad which would have been 100cals tops.
I ate the scorched almonds because i was hungry come 7pm. I should have really make something a little more substantial or just grabbed a piece of fruit, but they were right there because everyone else was eating them. At least they were dark chocolate … right haha? fail.
And lemonade? I DON’T EVEN LIKE SODA!!!!! It was such a hot day and the tap water was really warm. I need to start keeping water in the fridge.
Spent a couple hours out in the garden doing quite laborious work, so yes, myfitnesspal and I will call that a workout ;)
Can’t tell if depressed and cynical or surrounded by assholes.
I’m going to go with “surrounded by assholes” because you’re cool. and it would make me sad if cool people like you were depressed… When I feel like I’m having more average days than good ones I get my cheese on and start journalling things that i’m grateful for, things that I love, the small things that were good in my day… starts me back on the track to positive living :) just a suggestion … doesn’t get rid of the assholes but it takes you high enough not to the notice the shit they leak ;)
